Emily’s love for baking began in her grandmother’s kitchen growing up in Caracas, Venezuela. At first she was just watching her grandma make delicious cakes and desserts. Then Emily’s grandma started letting her participate. What started as a pastime soon became a favorite hobby, which evolved into a passion. In her heart, she always wanted to study culinary arts. However, she ended up studying Social Communications with a major in Graphic Arts. Years later when she came to the U.S, she decided to follow her heart and took up baking and pastry classes. She attended Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and completed various courses in cake decorating and confectionary arts.
